What is the Yard of Terror? (Post 2_1/4/12)

Hello Haunters,

I would like to start by saying Thank You to everyone who viewed the Yard of Terror's first Blog Post! I am very excited about how many people came to this site! You guys ROCK!

The Yard of Terror has been going on since 2007. Started by a guy named Shawn Boswell "Hey that's me! :)". The Yard of Terror has a small crew of people known as the "Terror Crew" that help set up and run the yard haunt every year on Halloween night. These people ROCK! Without their help the Yard of Terror would be known as the Yard of Trouble...YUCK!

Growing up I have always loved Halloween and haunted houses. I even decided to get into the haunted house business myself at the age of 14 as a volunteer actor at a haunted house, and have done it every year since then. After working at a haunted house for so long I thought to my self "how cool would it be to run my very own haunted house?" And that's when it hit me!

I had just turned 18, and going out Trick-or-Treating was starting to get old. Our neighborhood has always had lots of trick-or-treaters so I knew I would have a heck of a crowd show up, so that's when I decided to open the Yard of Terror!

The Yard of Terror is located in a small neighborhood in Hillview, KY. The yard haunt takes places at my Fathers home every year. My Father loves Halloween just like his son. Without my Father Yard of Terror would have never got started, Thank You Dad! Each year he loves to get his costume on and help me scare the crap out of all the kids and even adults that decide to venture into the Yard of Terror! The Yard of Terror continues to grow year after year and I hope this continues!

Below I have posted a photo collection of the Yard of Terro over the past few years so that you may get a peak at what the yard of Terror is all about!

If you have any questions or comments about our blog, or the Yard of Terror feel free to post them in the comments section below.

Till Next Time, Happy Haunting!
